Thoughtfully designed wellness programming that brings mindfulness, movement, body awareness, grounding, connection, and other supportive practices into the school day.
Created by an educator and yoga therapist, each experience is designed with the students in front of me in mind—meeting them where they are and giving them practical tools they can explore both inside and outside the classroom.
Learning doesn’t happen separately from everything else a young person is experiencing.
Students arrive with emotions, relationships, stress, changing bodies, different energy levels, experiences at home, and the everyday challenges of growing up.
School wellness creates intentional space for students to notice and understand more of what’s happening within themselves while exploring practices that may support them along the way.
This isn’t about expecting every student to sit still, feel calm, or respond to stress in the same way. It’s about giving young people opportunities to pause, notice, explore, move, connect, and discover what feels supportive for them.
My Roots in Education
Before becoming a yoga therapist, much of my professional life was rooted in education and supporting children and families.
As a teacher and educator, I learned that students bring their whole selves into the classroom—their personalities, relationships, emotions, energy, experiences at home, and everything they’re learning about themselves as they grow.
That understanding shaped the way I approached teaching. I became interested not only in what students were learning academically, but also in creating opportunities for them to feel seen, connected, and supported within the learning environment.
Where Education + Wellness Meet
Over time, mindfulness, movement, and wellness became a natural extension of my work with young people. I began incorporating practices that gave students opportunities to pause, notice what they were experiencing, move their bodies, breathe, and reconnect.
As my own study of yoga deepened and eventually led me to graduate training in yoga therapy, my background in education continued to inform how I worked with children and adolescents. I’ve since brought mindfulness and movement-based practices into different school and community settings with students across age groups.
Today, I bring those parts of my experience together—educator and yoga therapist—to create school wellness programming that is thoughtful, developmentally appropriate, experiential, and grounded in the students in front of me.
No two classrooms—or students—are exactly alike. Programming can be adapted to the age and developmental needs of students, the school environment, available time, and the goals of your community.
Accessible experiences that invite students to notice the present moment and become curious about their thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and experiences.
Developmentally appropriate movement and body-based practices that encourage students to explore their bodies, breath, energy, and physical experience.
Practical practices students can explore during moments of stress, transition, overwhelm, or when they simply need an opportunity to pause and reconnect.
Experiences that encourage connection with self and others while exploring kindness, empathy, communication, and compassionate ways of responding.
Every school community is different. We’ll begin with a discovery call to talk about your students, goals, setting, and schedule, then determine the format that best fits your needs.
We begin with a discovery call to learn about your school, students, goals, schedule, and what you’re hoping to support.
I develop an age-appropriate experience shaped around your students and the goals we’ve identified together.
Students participate in accessible mindfulness, movement, breath, reflection, and connection practices designed to be used beyond our time together.
Students leave with practical tools they can return to in the classroom, at home, and during moments of stress, transition, or overwhelm.
